Drop in Refrgerant Safe and Friendly to Environment Introduction The production and use of CFC-12 was prohibited from 1996 in developed countries, and it will be prohibited from 2006 in the developing countries in accordance with the Montreal Protocol. The alternatives (such as HFC-134a and Hydrocarbon, etc.)proposed to replace CFC-12 all require physical retrofit of production lines, equipment (such as compressors), and/or new lubricants to accommodate them.Furthermore, environmental and safety problems still emerge from some of the alternatives mentioned above. The employment of HFC-134a has a negative reaction on the greenhouse effect (GWP=1300, 100 years).Hydrocarbon is flammable even though it has quite good thermophysical properties and thermal performance. Our Technology The alternative refrigerant THR02 is a near-azeotropic three-component mixture. This mixture THR02 has the following advantages relative to CFC-12 Benefits of this Technology
