Naphthalene Reformation via Selective Hydrogenation For the Petroleum Processing Industry Introduction Naphtha reforming produces high octane gasoline and aromatics in the petrochemical industry. The amount of benzene in aromatics as gasoline is carefully controlled in the world.Separating C6 cuts from the reformate can satisfy the requirements of gasoline while producing chemical-grade benzene and solvent oil which are important to the chemicals industry.
Our Technology Fractionated C6 cuts from naphtha reforming are selectively hydrogenated with our novel catalyst to remove olefins. The remainder part, higher than C6, is used as constituted high octane gasoline.Benzene and raffinate obtained by extraction are distilled separately to get chemical-grade benzene and a high quality solvent. Benefits of this Technology Our catalyst can accept any level of olefins in the feed and it can cope with any severe reforming.Olefins are recovered as valuable alkane, unlike the clay treatment process where the polymer either is absorbed on the clay or has little recovered value.
