Search Protocol:
CTC will not accept subscription if the item to be manufactured is outside
the specialty of our manufacturing network. Upon subscription, members may
initiate an inquiry on the OEM manufacture of an item or product line. The
inquiry shall take the form of a written request specifying the following:
- Product line
- Technology involved
- Raw material required
- Design drawings, where appropriate
- Initial volume of production
- Targeted volume of production on an annual basis
Specs provided must be complete and shall form the basis for the search in
China.

It is understood that all information supplied by the member in this
inquiry are neither proprietary nor confidential. CTC accepts no
responsibility for any loss of the member's trade secrets as a result of
the information supplied by the member.
Preliminary Report
CTC shall communicate the preliminary report on the search to the member.
The report is supplied to the member on a confidential basis, and shall
list the brief background of the potential manufacturer in China, and a
preliminary quote on the projected startup cost (molding, prototype costs
etc), manufacturing unit cost, exclusive of packaging, shipping and
insurance.

Refund Policy
Should the results not meet the full specs as supplied by the member, the
member may request a refund of the subscription, unless the member chooses
to submit an inquiry on a new or related product line. The member may
request up to 3 searches. Refunds are 75% after one unsuccessful search,
50% after 2, and 25% after 3 searches.
Samples
Test samples may be supplied by the manufacturer in China for evaluation
by the member. Depending on the size and scale, the cost for producing
and transporting these samples shall be negotiable.
The Negotiation Phase
Once the member approves the test sample, CTC shall act as the member's
agent in conducting negotiations with the manufacturer in China. The name
of the manufacturer in China shall remain anonymous throughout the
negotiation phase. The retainer fees are negotiable, and are to be paid in
advance of the negotiations. Other expenses such as attorney fees, and
related travel are billable upon prior approval.
After The Final Contract
The final contract for manufacturing is to be concluded between the member
and the manufacturer in China. CTC shall be paid a negotiated commission.
The contract shall include a stipulation that for a period of three years,
neither party shall enter into an agreement without the knowledge and
participation of CTC.
