Introduction

In the manufacture of corrected grain leather, the usual method to deal with damaged leathers is to grind the leather grain.

Another method, called Dianbu in China, can hide leather grain damages by thickening an aqeous resin emulsion to paste, and dipping the leather into the paste to fix the damaged areas one part at a time. Its efficiency is low and the gloss of the parts around the damaged areas is different from the other parts.

Our Technology

A new material and its application method has been invented to hide leather grain damages by brush or sponge dressing, with 5 to 10 times the efficiency of the DianBu method.

This material can also be used as a duller to produce some fashion leathers.

Features of This Technology

The features of our new processing method include:

  • 5 to 10 times the efficiency

  • same gloss around grain damages as around undamaged areas

  • Increased average grade of finished leather

  • High sorting rate in the resulting hide

More than 2,000 tons of the material has been produced in China
