This new service is an outgrowth of 15 years of exchange relations between City College of CUNY and the Chinese Academy of Sciences,as well as other key institutions in China. The relations were established at the initiative of Professor Ngee-Pong Chang who has been Director of CCNY-China Exchange since its founding.
CCNY has signed memorandums of understanding with the following key institutions
and many others.
The Academy is a national research & development organizationin China with 123 institutes and some 50,000 Scientific staff spanning many fields of research across the country. The Academy has research projects large and small, spanning such high tech fields as synchrotron radiation, plasma and fusion research, bioengineering, pharmaceuticals, electronics, energy, materials, chemistry, and many more, including consumer fields.
Academy scientists produce about 1000 inventions per year. From this pool, as well as inventions from other key institutions,over 100 top inventions per year will be selected for the exclusiveChinaTech Listing.
