New Application in Cell Fusion Technology

Transferring foreign genes into a cell is an important method of obtaining new varieties of plants and microbes.

However, this technique demands difficult target cell pretreatment , and the gene transfer efficiency is limited.

Our Invention

Our invention applies patented low energy ion beam bioengineering to modify plants and microbes. The invention includes both naked DNA delivery assisted by ion beam and DNA recombination through injection of ions and replacement of atoms.

New varieties of crops and microbes have been used in agricultural production, the planted area being more than a million hectares.

This technology is available for transfer.
