Non-Invasive Conveyor Belt Damage Detector Detects Flaws without Damaging the Belt Introduction Conveyor belts are extremely valuable to processing plants, mines, wharves, power plants, and any enterprise which requires transportation of material from one location to the next in an orderly and efficient fashion. When a conveyor belt gets torn or broken, the cost to repair or replace it can be rather high.Several companies have come up with methods to detect signs of breaking and tearing in a conveyor belt, saving on costs. However, these methods have various flaws in their operation. For example, some systems use complicated and expensive wiring running through and around the belt to monitor rips and tears. Our Technology Based on the principle of electromagnetic induction, our detector can be used to monitor the broken steel cord and splice failure of a belt while the conveyor is working. It not only detects minor breaks before they become big problems, but it does this without ever touching the conveyor belt. Our system sends information via computer to the engineer in charge. He can decide whether the belt has to be repaired to avoid accident. Technical Features Technical Features
