New Agricultural Antibiotic Enhances the Viral Resistance in Crops Introduction An ideal disease control strategy is one that minimizes the use of pesticides (by carefully controlled application only when necessary) and uses stable host-resistance whenever possible.
Our Technology We have developed a new agricultural antibiotic which can drastically reduce crop disease. This new agricultural antibiotic is produced by fermentation under the existence of strain microorganism 16A-6 which is a variety of streptomyces noursei. Our product is a non-accumulating, widely fitted, non-polluting agrochemical.
Features When applied to the tobacco mosaic virus, our invention produces a 75% relative viral resistance rate, to as high as 90%. The production increases by 10% to 20% yield, with some as high as 35%.Our invention shows great efficiency in enhancing viral resistance in the production of wheats, vegetables, flowers, and many different types of agricultural products. Furthermore, the cost of using our product is much lower than any other agrochemicals on the market today. One of the largest problems facing the agricultural industry is crop disease. "Plant diseases are a major constraint on crop production worldwide, having direct effects on the quantity and quality of marketable produce.
